Inside out Maguro (Tuna) Sushi

Another variation of sushi, the inside out roll. This time I used Maguro (Tuna), avocado and cucumber but you can really use whatever fish you like. Even grilled eel and prawns would be nice. I also made wasabi cream to go with it, which is just Japanese mayo mixed with wasabi and a few drops of hot water if it is too thick.

Inside out Maguro Sushi with Wasabi Cream  Recipe

Sushi rice- one recipe (see Salmon and Avocado Sushi Recipe)
300 g raw sashimi grade tuna, cut into strips
one small cucumber cut into strips
one avocado cut into strips
bonito, seaweed and sesame seed mix
two sheets nori

Wasabi cream:
2 tbsp mayo
1/2 tsp wasabi
1 tsp hot water
(mix above together)

Cut nori sheets into half. Place sushi rice onto nori sheet and spread to the edges. Place a cling film of similar size to nori on top of the rice. Turn the sheet around and place on a sushi mat so the nori is facing upwards. Place strips of tuna, cucumber and avocado in the middle of the nori. Roll the sushi mat, and press tight. . Unwrap the mat and cling film. Roll the sushi in the bonito, seaweed and sesame mix. Slice and place on platter. Repeat the process 3 more times to get 4 rolls. Serve with wasabi cream.
